Transport subsystem integration in Poznan’s public transportation nodes based on the city stations

Summary/Abstract: Poznań has large impact zone, dynamically developing suburban areas and is generally considered to be one of the most important metropolitan areas in the country today. The city faces a plethora of commuter-related challenges and a very high demand for “transportation needs”. The purpose of this article is to present the integration of subsystems of public and metropolitan transportation systems, based on a network of commuter hubs with highest .multimodality. potential, offered by Poznań’s railroad stations. We will analyse the results of a survey taken on daily commuters and on the area of influence of the Poznań Górczyn city station. This particular station is a major node where all forms of public transportation meet.
