Summary/Abstract: The axe presented below was discovered in 2009, during a survey with metal detectors in Cernat (Covasna County, Romania). The object represents a well-known Transylvanian Middle Bronze Age weapon-type. The first part of the paper deals with the close neighborhood of the axe and the landscape, the deposition custom, while the second part with the distribution of different variants on a larger area.
