Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is the appearance of actual trends in the development of a modern poster; disclosure of communication concepts and technological innovations in poster design of the end of XX – beginning of XXI century. The methodology of the research involves the use of general scientific (theoretical and empirical) as well as special research methods. In particular, the methods of abstraction and extrapolation, the method of visual observation have been applied; methods of system-comparative and formal analysis, the method of induction for the systematization of visual material. The scientific novelty of the work consists in expanding the understanding of the essence of the modern poster in the context of technological progress. Conclusions. It is proved that under the influence of the development of technologies (computer in particular), there are new means of artistic expression in the poster, allowing to effectively implement graphic communication in modern conditions. The variety of creative experiments and author's methods influencing the development of the poster, including in the electronic environment, is underway.
