Summary/Abstract: This article aims at analysing the changings in the formula operated by the French popular science magazine "Science & Vie" in 1998 and in 2014. Using Yve Agnès’ recommendations about formula changings in his "Manuel de journalisme" (2008), we will take into consideration three elements: the cover, the introductory article/the foreword and the summary. Considering the long existence of the magazine (over a hundred years), we will observe how radical the changes really are and how the publication deals with the need to affirm both its traditions and the drive to modernity.
