Summary/Abstract: At the end of the 80´s and the beginning of the 90´s, parties played a fundamental role in the shaping of the culture of the youth. The electronic dance music scene has evolved a plethora of genres. After House, Garage appeared, and Goa, Breakbeat, Drum and bass, etc., and, in addition, these also developped their own subcategories and variations. Thus, what presented itself from the outside as a uniform party-subculture, was, in fact, divided into different sub-subcultures. The essay provides a glimpse into the world of the party-subcultures.
