Summary/Abstract: In our research and studies on education, we focus (almost) exclusively either on the work andproblems of teachers, or on business and management issues in schools. But there are, within a school,people who, without being teachers, leave their mark on the functioning, organization and prestige of thatinstitution. They are the ones who belong to the non-teaching staff, those who do not appear in theforeground, but who are highly necessary for the existence and balance of an educational institution.
