Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at studying the relationship between literature and music in Pirandello’s Novelle per un anno, an aspect of the work that scholars not developed so far. Firstly, the paper examines the short stories where musical references occur; secondly, it analyses the selected texts, using Wolf’s intermediality to understand the artistic conception they imply and how they can be put in relation to Pirandello’s essays.
