The Factors of Linguistic Choice in Verbal Exchanges: Language Diversity between Practices and Representations

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to clarify the linguistic choices of the speakers of the region ofEl-Ogla, the wilaya of Tebessa in Algeria. Based on a corpus of 60 records, we have tried in thispaper to study the linguistic landscape of a territory that has never been exploited by focusing oncertain factors identified in the verbal exchanges of interactors. These factors may provide, in ourview, explanatory tracks of the diversity in language behaviors that characterizes the region of thesurvey.
