Summary/Abstract: The establishing of the Turnovo Constitution through the view of Prince Alexander Dondukov-KorsakovAn unexplored and unpublished manuscript of Prince Alexander Dondukov-Korsakov, composed between 1881 and 1883 and stored so far in the archives, sheds new light on the role of the Russian Imperial Commissioner in Bulgaria in the creation of the initial draft of the Organic Statute of the Bulgarian Principality, about his attitude to the revision of the project in St. Petersburg and its position in its discussion at the Turnovo Constituent Assembly. Accused by the Russian government and certain circles in Russia, after the establishment of a "regime of powers" of Prince Alexander 1st Batenberg in Bulgaria, because of the later deterioration of relations between the two countries that has allowed the creation of a very liberal constitution, Prince Alexander Dondukov-Korsakov reveals new facts and circumstances of which was guided in its work and motivation as imperial commissioner in creating the Turnovo constitution. The book includes an extensive introductory study of 56 pages by Kostadin Paev and two annexes: the text of the original document and a translation from Russian into Bulgarian of both versions of the original draft of the Organic Statute, accompanied by comments and notes.
