Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article is a possible model for the transformation of journalism into a regulated profession through a special law, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of such a model. The regulation of the journalistic profession has been analyzed against the background of the regulation of other professions in Bulgaria and the contemporary development of the media.
