Summary/Abstract: There is no doubt that the theatre was one of the most spectacular forms of Jesuit activity. A new book by Prof. Jan Okoń Upbringing to society. In Jesuit school theaters in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth deals with this particular activity of them. The author presents various aspects and activities of such a complex institution as the school theatre on almost 470 pages of the text, in 6 parts, 24 chapters and various addenda that contain sources.
