Summary/Abstract: This article is focused on the choral creative work of the Moldovan composer and conductor V. Ciolac. Special attention is given to the author’s cycle Hymns of the Holy Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom for a four-voice female choir composed in accordance with Orthodox Church music canons. The author lays emphasis on the musical form at macro and micro structural level, underlining the specifics of its interpretation.
