The Role of Panteleimon Kulish in the Ukrainian Cultural Creation

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to study the role of Panteleimon Kulish as a key figure of the Ukrainian national revival in the 19th century in the Ukrainian cultural creation. The methodology is a set of methods and techniques of scientific cognition, which makes it possible to study the issues of the Ukrainian cultural creation. The study of archival materials was carried out, the conceptual apparatus was highlighted on the basis of the logical-semantic method to analyze some scientists‘ points of view. The scientific novelty lies in determining the features of the role of Panteleimon Kulish in the Ukrainian cultural creation as a key figure of the Ukrainian national revival in the 19th centuries. The content of ideological and thematic priorities of P. Kulish‘ worldview paradigm was extended; the figure of P. Kulish as one of the most prominent devotees of the national identity of the Ukrainian people, their language and culture. Conclusion. The study of the role of Panteleimon Kulish in the Ukrainian cultural creation needs a comprehensive monographic study. The formation of a nation takes place along with the formation of a national culture. The role of Panteleimon Kulish in the formation of self-determination of the Ukrainian nation, the development of Ukrainian culture, literature, art, is significant and indisputable. Thanks to his literary activity, in particular translation, Ukrainian literature got a broad international impulse of historical progress and brought the Ukrainian nation out of oblivion.
