Summary/Abstract: Introduction. The article studies the problem of organizing social-pedagogical work with gifted children in educational settings of different types. The purpose of the research is to reveal the specifics of social-pedagogical work with gifted schoolchildren in various types of educational settings. Materials and Methods. Gathering empirical data involved a questionnaire survey. The sample included teachers of comprehensive educational settings in Kostroma (n=36), teachers of supplementary educational settings in Kostroma (n=22) and educators and other professionals of educational centre ‘Sirius’ in Sochi (n=17). The survey was being conducted from March 2018 to October 2018. Results. The study has revealed the specifics of organizing social-pedagogical work in comprehensive and supplementary educational settings and within the specialized educational centre ‘Sirius’. The authors clarify the specifics of contents and goals of social pedagogical work with gifted schoolchildren in educational settings of different types. The results can contribute to enhancing the efficiency of social-pedagogical work and support of gifted schoolchildren. Conclusions. The article concluded that the specifics of organizing social pedagogical work in comprehensive educational settings, supplementary educational settings and the educational centre ‘Sirius’ consisted in forms and methods, programs, curricula and goals. These features influence the efficiency of gifted education and contribute to successful socialization of gifted schoolchildren.
