TRANSNISTRIAN ISSUE IN THE VISION OF THE INSTITUTE FOR STRATEGIC INITIATIVES IN CHISINAU - PROJECTS, ANALYZES, POLICY PROPOSALS

Summary/Abstract: The Institute for Strategic Initiatives is an organization that examine the Transnistrian issue from the perspective of dialogue and confidence building between the civil society on the two banks of the Dniester. It does not necessarily seek political solutions for the conflict, but it wants to create the social conditions necessary to identify and implement compromise solutions.The lack of thematic publications decreases the importance and visibility of the organization in the expertise of the Transnistrian problem. The political forces involved in the resolution of the conflict do not have, at least at this time, relevant publications, drafted by IPIS, on which they can base their administrative policies.The project "Transnistrian Dialogues" has created a discussion platform for experts from both sides of Dniestr, with the objective of identifying alternative solutions for the conflict. The results of the project were disseminated to the civil societies and the political factor through a final conference.
