Summary/Abstract: The present paper contains a description of a wedding hymn (Rigveda, X. 85). Four levels of analysis are suggested: a mythological, a cosmological, a ritual and a psychological one. The main distinctive features of the description of mythological personages, the units of the ritual procedures, etc. are introduced by the authors. The article is supplied with a Russian translation of the hymn.
