Summary/Abstract: This article describes the simplified revision procedure (Article 48 paragraph (6) TEU) and its application by the Chamber of Deputies. For a better understanding of this process, the article applies this procedure to the amendment of Article 136 of the TFEU regarding the European Stability Mechanism. The second part of this article deals with the flexibility clause (Article 352 TFEU) and deliberation of drafts based on this legal regulation. The Chamber of Deputies is involved in the both of these processes, as it needs to express prior consent. Without the consent of the Chamber, the Czech Republic may not vote on a decision in the European Council when deciding on the amendment of the provisions pursuant to Article 48 paragraph (6) of the TFEU and in the Council when deciding on appropriate measures to attain the objectives laid down in the founding treaties of the European Union pursuant to Article 352 of the TFEU.
