Upbringing by Culture: the Past and the Present, Questions and Proposals

Summary/Abstract: The article raises a multi-faceted issue which is based on the concepts of ‘culture’ and ‘upbringing’. These have been very important theoretical and practical issues in the history of civilisation since antiquity. Upbringing by culture determines the shaping of man and society. After 1989, huge changes took place in Poland and around the world. In this context, we should answer the questions of what man should be like and what future he will create. We should also ask about the threats, opportunities, tasks and goals of upbringing by culture and what institutions and ways lead to it.
