Summary/Abstract: In Romanian private international law, under the provisions of the Romanian Civil Code, the law applicable to non-contractual obligations is determined according to the rules of European Union law. Regulation (EC) no. 864/2007 (Rome II) applies to non-contractual obligations in civil and commercial matters, in situations involving a conflict of laws. In this study we analyzed the main provisions contained in Regulation (EC) no. 864/2007 (Rome II) with respect to: the law applicable to non-contractual obligations arising from tort, the law applicable to unjust enrichment, the law applicable to business administration and culpa in contrahendo.
