Mission and pilgrimage at Rohia monastery

Summary/Abstract: This study succinctly presents the mission of the Bishop Nicolae Colan, Metropolitan of Ardeal, mission that he had repeatedly carried out a the Monastery of Rohia, Maramures, between 1941-1944. His Holiness proved to be a true animator of orthodox Christians of that county, a spiritual guide for the monks of Rohia and a witty and skilled collaborator at the work of clerical and pastoral building of Ardeal subjects. Together with the bishop mission carried out, the regular pastoral stops at the shrine of saint monastery Rohia were regular and elevating ones, they may be called even soul building. I put down below some of the sermons and writings of his holiness tthat remain a true mirror of authentic life description both Christian and monastic of this Lapus Maramures countryside.
