Summary/Abstract: This paper aims at enlightening the importance of French revolution regarding Rigas Velestinlis, who was one of the most influential figures of the Hellenistic and Balkan territories at the end of XVIII century, bearer of The Age of Enlightenment ideas, politician, patriot, and a visionare of a republican and democratic alliance. His opus consists of a literary-translative piece, and notable political-revolutionary writings: Revolutionary proclamation, Declaration of human rights, Constitution, and Turios. All the authors who participated in the creation of Rigas Velestinlis point out his role/destiny of a forerunner in all areas.
