Summary/Abstract: Following the entry into force of Lisbon Treaty, the European Union has acquired legal personality which allows it to negotiate and conclude international agreements on its own behalf. Taking into account that international agreements concluded by European Union have legal effects in the internal law of the Member States, the purpose of this study is to clarify how these agreements are adopted and also their legal force and the rights and obligations created for the European institutions and Member States .
