Summary/Abstract: Comparative research conducted in several communities, branched cultural aspect indicates that the definition of violence against children and women belong, moreover, the level of their social valorisation. For example, in the Eastern Mediterranean countries, physical abuse against women is socially perceived as violence and is not defined as a form of violence at the legal level. Woman is valued by reference to chastity, and therefore, where extramarital sexual relations or if the victim of a rape, the woman can be killed .In the literature there is no definition covering the topic of violence and are based on researchers agreement.
