Summary/Abstract: The last decade saw wide-sweeping cultural and economic changes in Poland that redefined drastically the role of women in the society. Growing awareness of women's rights through the development of education and other related activities based on the European Union recommendations, played an important role in improving social and economic status of the Polish women. It also triggered profound changes in the tourism industry. It has begun to offer bidding travel packages dedicated to women. Furthermore, there are airline reservation services, and special offers exclusively intended for women. Tourism transforming reality in this area seems to be a new social phenomenon reflecting lasting cultural and social transformations in Poland.
