Summary/Abstract: The content of the paper refers mainly to endogenous categories of region’s development, especially to the effectiveness of local entities, to region’s competitiveness, and enterprises’ innovativeness, however, in the context of endogenous intraorganizational factors conducive to enhance the growth of particular organizations. A behavioural strategy constitutes one of such endogenous intraorganizational determinants of the growth. The goal of the paper is to present the concept ‘a behavioural strategy’ (the considerations are limited to the field of the attitudes of governors) as a potential stimuli for the region’s development in terms of local government. The first part of the paper presents the specificity and character of a behavioural strategy. Then, the determinants of regional development were described, and finally stimulating the region’s development in the context of behavioural strategies in local government. The considerations are deductive and the methods that have been used are literature studies.
