City Participation in the International Project as a Factor of Regional Development: Szczecinek in the International Consortium Civitas – Renaissance

Summary/Abstract: Establishing a knowledge-based economy is not possible without innovation. Innovation is a term, which operates as a kind of key word due to the description of modern economies and modern subjects. The aim of the author is to show the implications of participating in an international project in the context of regional development, as well as changes in the entities directly participating in the project. The object of reflection is to analyze the role of the city Szczecinek participation in an international consortium and the role of project management for the development of the city’s brand and increase of its attractiveness.
