Summary/Abstract: In this article the contemporary Polish village is defined as a specific kind of cultural border existing in a particular geographical (territorial) and virtual space. Neighbourhoods of interacting cultures facilitate valuation and constant choices, and the factor that determines borrowing a given element is the natural power of language and greater attractiveness of a “different” culture.
