Young Adults from Lodz and Zdunska Wola Who Are Involved in the Public Sphere and Space in the Process of Reaching Full Adulthood

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of focus group interviews with young adults who reached the age of majority around the year 2004 and who operate in the public and political sphere. The main question of the study concerned issues relating to activity in the public sphere and space in the course of the process of reaching full adulthood. The article begins with established facts regarding the scope of the research, its organization and theoretical framework. The subsequents sections discuss the material collected during focus group interviews. The observations concern the process of assuming the role of a social activist as well as the diagnosis of the reasons for the lack of involvement of young adults in public issues.
