COMPUTER FRAUD UNDER THE REGULATIONS OF THE NEW ROMANIAN CRIMINAL CODE

Summary/Abstract: In the context of the high rate of development of computer technology in recent years, the continuous harmonisation of criminal law in relation to the economic and social reality that has been continuously changing is seen as absolutely necessary. Romanian criminal legislature, determined by the emergence of new methods of committing offenses besides the so-called traditional ones, has focused with increased attention in the new Criminal Code on the offenses committed by electronic means. This is the reason why the paper aims at a detailed approach to specific issues related to the crime of computer fraud, whose rate has steadily increased.
