Glossary Of Queer Theory

Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the „Glossary of queer theory“ is the opening of new perspectives and productive disclosure and marking the differences. As such it repre- sents an attempt at disrupting, shaking and dissolving taken-for-granted status quo. Glossary consists of entries that seek to present the queer community as it sees itself, and as the outsiders see it. Lexicon shows persistence/durability and historicity of queer identity as important, and thus directly contradicts the tradition of marginaliza- tion and deletion. Glossary contains jargon-terms from activist and queer community, historical and cultural themes – outdated terms, literary and/or metaphorical phrases, anthropological and ethnological concepts, real or imaginary characters, cryptograms which were used by some authors mark homoerotic relations, and fundamental no- tions.
