Summary/Abstract: Mastocytosis is a rare disease, in Romania being only 62 patients. The treatment is symptomatic or preventive, with disodium cromoglycate. We need to include cromoglycate on the compensated drug list, in order to be brought and distributed in Romania. In the last 8 years the Ministry of Health and the Agency for Medication and Medical devices ignored this request. EU directives impose an answer in 90 days. Romania needs diagnostic and treatsment centers for rare diseases.
