Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the comparative analysis of the use of anglicisms in television commercials will be presented on the example of four television channels of the former Yugoslav republics, such as, PINK, HRT1, HRT2, OBN, ATLAS. The aim of our research is to show how much each language ( Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin) is open for the use of anglicisms. According to the changes in these languages ,who used to have one common language- Serbocroatian, we will try to clarify functions and aims of television commercials.
