Summary/Abstract: In the wider context of the specific consideration of Hollywood production, the commercial component is unavoidable. But, some American theorists claim that the word industry, not business, hence the film in the United States has a much broader social significance than the word business, does not seem quite convincing. However, since the pioneers of American film Edison, Porter and Griffith, to Lucas, Spielberg and Scorsese, it is evident that the Hollywood film has been industry. On the other hand, Hollywood has never been indifferent to some foreign influences that could jeopardize its foundations and safety. That was in 1954 that in Hollywood started the so-called witch-hunt against those for whom there were "irrefutable" evidence that they are communists or their sympathizers. But when the political and social circumstances in America somewhat changed, the pressure of the public opinion to insists on the black list began abating, and finally disappeared completely.
