Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to show how the use of lexeme dignity can affect the acquisition and maintenance of the electorate by a political party. On the example of selected statements by ex-Prime Minister Beata Szydlo from 2015–2018, the author analyzes various contexts of use of token dignity, for example: economic, social, historical, showing that they had a specific context and an explicit, distinctive system of values that should be taken by the recipient. At the same time, through the use of the lexeme, Beata Szydlo denied the political opponent, creating in the eyes of the electorate their negative image. The ex-Prime Minister presented herself as an authority, which on the one hand decides who should be given dignity, and who should take it.
