Summary/Abstract: The women’s movement in the political history were mostly included in literature with their forms in Western geography since 19th century. However, women’s movements are effective in different cultural, political and social backgrounds, all of which occur - sometimes in parallel and sometimes on different grounds- outside the West. The subject of this study is a century adventure of the women’s movement in Palestine, from 1897 that was organized for the first time with Jewish immigration to Palestine took place, to 1997 that was accepted as the end of the Oslo Peace Process. In this historical study, the Palestinian women’s movement is divided into five basic categories chronologically and examined under the headings of political developments in each period. These categories are; Period of national identity formation (1897-1948), Beginning of organized women’s movements in Palestine (1948-1967), Radicalization of Palestinian women’s movement (1967-1987), Intifada period (1987-1993) and Division period of Palestinian women’s period (1993-1997). The compilation of historical data from the Palestinian national sources and the periodic categorization of the Palestinian women’s movement are the unique aspect of this study. This research aims to make a significant contribution to Turkish literature within the scope of Palestinian studies and to present a historical perspective to upcoming other studies. As a result of the study, it has come to the fore that the women’s movements when conducting with administrative policies of the government have made significant contributions to the political course of the Palestinian issue, but women’s movement opposed to the government are oppressed.
