Summary/Abstract: Municipal policy is increasingly considered one of the most dynamically developing public policies. Contemporary development of societies in the spatial field will take place to a large extent based on the development of the city, and global and regional metropolises are beginning to resemble state “mini organisms” with their own, municipal executive and legislative power. The paper will be an attempt at theoretical reflection on the contemporary shape of municipal policy, combined with the analysis of the results of two editions of the Rzeszów Social Diagnosis study. The main objective of the analysis, referring to the results of the research, will be to answer the question whether the quality of life of residents has a significant impact on the shaping of municipal policy objectives, on the example of Rzeszów.
