Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the biography of Ferdynand Zweig, professor, economist, one of the most original students of Adam Krzyżanowski. The analysis of the turning points of F. Zweig’s life also presents the history of the Jewish minority in Poland, the discourse on the identity of the individual in the border situation and the attitude towards the Holocaust.
