Summary/Abstract: There is less and less time to react to emerging challenges, problems and opportunities in a project undertaken by enterprises. It is cause of changing, turbulent environment of enterprises and hence of project as well. In practice the enterprises cannot afford to have projects fail in any way. During project execution we can observe to occur many different countless signals, i.e. early warning signals. The signals provide precise and imprecise information for project manager and their team about potential threats of given project. The paper develops, evaluates and attempts to improve upon an approach known as an early warning system (EWS) that may be used to help anticipate threats in project. The purpose of this paper is to determine the extent to which implementation of an early warning system would enhance our capacity to identify future threats in undertaken project.
