Summary/Abstract: This paper reconsiders the question of English and French discourse connectives in electrical engineering discourse, taking into account the relevancetheoretic distinctions and unitary accounts explaining these distinctions. The paper is built around four parts. The first one is theoretical in orientation. The second one describe some unitary accounts. The third part is empirical in nature, while the fourth one outlines certain concluding remarks.
