Summary/Abstract: The author of this paper analyzes the difference between the legal norms regarding the end of a marriage, in different countries, the applicable international private law and the conflicts of laws when the parties are from different countries. Nowadays, thanks to the migration opportunities, most of the marriages ends according to the law of the country where the couple lives together, but the problem appears when they return in the country of origin and discover that their divorce is not recognized and they cannot marry again. It is also analyzed the difference over time, since the marriage was sacred to the simplest ways to end it, the effects of dissolution and what happens when children are involved.
