Summary/Abstract: The article presents the current and future European legal framework of personal data protection in the context of BREXIT, and the legal implications of the leaving vote on the security cooperation and information sharing within the EU. By aiming at introducing a discussion about the legal options for both the UK and the EU with regards to the security policies and information sharing, the instrument of soft law harmonisation will be addressed as a possible option of the British Government and a reflection of a continuation choice. In the final section, political alternatives backing a position of legal difference post-BREXIT will be presented.
