Summary/Abstract: The text freely follows the article „Ecclesiastical Courts – Why Today?“ (Církevní soudy – k čemu dnes?) published in 1999 in the „Právník“ journal, that dealt with civil law matters, whereas this text is focused on criminal agenda of current ecclesiastical courts. The text is dealing with the question of competence, jurisdiction as well as the procedure itself. Roman law influence on canon procedure is also touched upon.
