Polish Army Contingents under the UN banner – a closed chapter

Summary/Abstract: In 2009 Poland cancelled three contingents for the UN peacekeeping missions: in the United Nations Disengagement Observer Forces (UNDOF) on Golan Heights, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad (MINURCA)). With this decision, the government closed one of the most praiseworthy chapters of the Polish activity for ensuring world peace, which was led under the blue flag of the UN. The article recollects the short history of the participation of the Polish Army in the peacekeeping missions of the UN
