Summary/Abstract: This article looks at the role of Poland in peacekeeping, development and humanitarian efforts in Sub--Saharan Africa. It also reviews its involvement in the new areas of co-operation between Africa and Europe such as international justice, combating terrorism, infrastructure and energy.
