Summary/Abstract: Succession is an inherent topic in the family business’ theme. The article presents different kinds of conflicts that may occur during the process of succession. Described barriers and models of succession and types of conflicts in the family. The case study describes a real family firm, which is during the process of transferring control of the family business in the hands of the child. Despite the well- planned preparation of a succession plan, the family is struggling with the conflicts occurring in the company and family.
