Summary/Abstract: After the end of the Eastern Crisis, Serbian Government commenced the first steps to establish a association having a task to act for realizing cross border goals of the Serbian state. In 1886, „St. Sava“ Association was founded, task of which also encompassed the following activities: opening schools and sending teachers, educating school students from Macedonia and Old Serbia and their qualification for teachers and carriers of the Serbian propaganda and opening boarding houses of „St. Sava“ Association. In the first years of its existence, the Association made sufficient efforts to spread the Serbian propaganda in Macedonia. However, since it showed conspiracy weaknesses, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as of the beginning of 1891 started thinking about its dissolution. After the decision on termination of the Association operations on 1 September 1891, the students from Macedonia attending its schools and boarding houses were distributed in the primary and secondary schools in Belgrade, Kraljevo, Valjevo, Shabac and other cities. The activities performed by „St. Sava” in dissemination of the Serbian propaganda were taken over by the Education-Political Unit already founded in 1889 with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Serbia.
