Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to show how the post-war Bosnian cinema, the socalled new Bosnian film, confronts the theme of war and memory. Accordingly, one of the first post-war films, the 1996 Perfect Circle, will be used as an example. Before analyzing the film, the paper will address the nature of memory, dealing with war traumas, and the relationship between art and violence.
