Summary/Abstract: The role of regions in national economies has changed significantly in modern times as a result of globalization and structural adjustments. Understanding these changes is important for developing regional economic analysis and programming for regional development. As it is increasingly difficult for national economies to participate in contemporary globalization processes, at the regional level, it is an extraordinary responsibility to be a link in the economic chain that will hinder or facilitate long-term sustainable economic growth and development. Development challenges are increasing and development strategies are increasingly uncertain. The issue of regional competitiveness is increasingly important in the broader economic and social contexts. The cluster enables increased competitiveness and innovation. Cluster participants are better prepared to cope with the pressures of international competition, thanks to a collaborative learning and rivalry process that enhances process speed and product innovation.
