The phenomenon of talent and self-actualization: points of intersection

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Research. The comparative analysis of concepts «talent» and «self-actualization» by comparison of their lines is offered in the research. Methodology. The scientific methods of analysis — systematization, comparison, generalization of the researched problem are the methodology basis of the article. These methods allow us to systematize the lines of the gifted people and analyse their correlation with the lines of self-actualizing people. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of research is consist in that the question of correlation of concepts of «talent» and «self-actualization» is affected for the first time in the culturological aspect. Conclusions. The concepts of «self-actualization» and «talent» are very similar to each other, but not identical, because each of them includes the wide circle of questions and row of constituents. We focus on successful realization of one’s versatile potential in first case and on successful realization of the creative potential.
