Means of Raising Capital Across Diverse Life Cycles of the Enterprise

Summary/Abstract: The paper addresses the issues related to manners used for acquiring capital across different phases of the enterprise life cycle, being important from the viewpoint of enterprises growth. The capability of acquiring external capital is particularly significant in the case when an enterprise is short of its own capital. The paper demonstrates selected models for business life cycle, among others, from the perspective of G.L. Lippit and W.N. Schmidt or L. Greiner. Moreover, the development of the support infrastructure for enterprises in Poland and forms of financing enterprises across different phases of the life cycle with a particular focus on venture capital and business angels were discussed.
